Son 54e triomphe en carrière l'a propulsé à la troisième place du classement historique, devant l'Allemand Sebastian Vettel. Verstappen a battu Charles Leclerc, de Ferrari, de plus de 17 secondes à Yas Marina. La troisième place est revenue à George Russell, de Mercedes.
