Sieg und stellte damit den Rekord des legendären brasilianischen Fahrers Ayrton Senna ein. Auf der Rennstrecke von Montreal schlug er den amtierenden Weltmeister Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) um mehr als neun Sekunden, während der dritte Platz an Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) ging. Red Bull feiert außerdem seinen 100. Formel-1-Sieg.
