Max Verstappen verblijdde zijn eigen fans in een door regen geteisterde Grand Prix van Nederland, waar hij zijn negende overwinning op rij boekte. Met dit resultaat evenaarde hij het record van Sebastian Vettel uit 2013. De Red Bull-coureur domineerde daarmee de elfde race van de dertien races tot nu toe dit seizoen.
