AT THE CIRCUIT

To make sure you don't have any worries during the race weekend and can focus on what's happening on the track, we have some practical tips for you. 

You can listen to the race commentary on Silverstone Radio on 87.7FM. If you don't have a portable radio, don't despair! Merchandise stores have them on sale so you can tune in and enjoy the race.

FOOD AND DRINK

You really don't have to worry about going without food and drink during the race weekend. Almost every grandstand has a food zone with refreshments. Silverstone has a very friendly policy and allows you to bring in food and drinks—both non-alcoholic and alcoholic; however, only in quantities that you can consume on your own. 

COMMUNICATIONS

Before you head out to the circuit, make sure you have all the information you need saved on your phone. from tickets, to maps, to information about your favourite driver. Especially on a Sunday, there's a risk that the mobile network will be overloaded at Silverstone and you won't be able to load your mobile data. 

Think about the fact that you may not be able to reach your friends. If you want to meet anyone on Sunday, always arrange a time and place to meet beforehand. Just like the old days when there were no cell phones. 

NOISE

Don't forget that motorsport is very noisy. While the noise is tolerable in the normal grandstands, make sure you wear earplugs if you're closer to the track. If you're travelling with children, make sure you don't leave them without ear defenders.

WEATHER

Although the race takes place at the beginning of the summer, the probability of rain is high. In addition to a raincoat, think about good footwear. You walk over grass or unpaved roads on your way to most of the regular stands. Likewise, we need to take into account that we are in the area of an airfield, located on a flat area. There's quite a bit of wind here. And that's true even on otherwise-sunny days. So it's a good idea to pack an extra layer of clothing.
